Mike Griffiths

Mike is the Executive Director of the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company in Edinburgh and an experienced arts administrator, producer and project manager with over 30 years experience across a number of organisations including Northern Stage, Almeida Theatre, Scottish Opera and Citizens Theatre. He completed a 3 year secondment to the Scottish Government Cultural Excellence team with particular responsibility for managing the relationship between the five national performing companies and the Scottish Government. Previous roles include as Administrative Director of the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh which was part of the Executive Team with the Artistic Director and more recently Interim Chief Executive roles at Eden Court Theatre and Cinema and Horsecross Arts which manage and programme Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre in Perth.
He has recently set up a new writing and talent development company PEARLFISHER with Philip Howard and Caitlin Skinner to develop and produce new plays, literary projects offer opportunities to aspiring and new creatives and technicians in Scotland. Mike has always had a keen interest in training and development. He was a board member of the National Council for Drama Training, a founder member of the Scottish Theatres Technical Training Trust and Treasurer to the Federation of Scottish Theatres. Mike was a member of The Arts Council of Ireland International Assessment Panel and was until recently a Peer Reviewer for Creative Scotland's Creative and Artistic Review Framework. He is a board member of the following companies: Pearlfisher, Pachamama, and Leith Theatre Trust. Mike is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) |
