Mike was, until recently, the Executive Director of the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company in Edinburgh and is an experienced arts administrator, producer and project manager with over 40 years experience across a number of organisations including Traverse Theatre, Eden Court Theatre & Cinema, Perth Theatre & Concert Hall, National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre, Scottish Opera, Manchester International Festival and the Scottish Government.
He is Executive Producer of a new writing and talent development company PEARLFISHER with Theatre Directors and Dramaturgs Philip Howard and Caitlin Skinner to develop and produce new plays, literary projects offer opportunities to aspiring and new creatives and technicians in Scotland. Mike has always had a keen interest in training and development. He was a board member of the National Council for Drama Training, a founder member of the Scottish Theatres Technical Training Trust and Treasurer to the Federation of Scottish Theatres. Mike was a member of The Arts Council of Ireland International Assessment Panel and was until recently a Peer Reviewer for Creative Scotland's Creative and Artistic Review Framework. He is a board member of the following companies: Pearlfisher, and Friends of The George. Mike is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) |
